As a child I wanted to be a veterinarian or a zoologist but I decided to go for a masters degree in liberal arts instead of science. After graduating and having worked in the media industry for nine years, I decided to dive into a major career change to pursue my original dream of working with animals.

I enrolled in a Certificate II in Animal Studies course in 2013 with the RSPCA NSW, and started working there as a student doing animal attendant duties. I enjoyed working with animals – particularly with dogs – so much that I wanted to broaden my knowledge of dog behaviour to understand them better. In the meantime, I worked in various roles from Animal Attendant to Rehabilitation and Assessment Trainer at the RSPCA Sydney Shelter. The most rewarding part of my role was successfully rehabilitating many shelter dogs with behavioural issues and helping them find loving homes.

After three years of studying about breeds, dog and cat behaviour, health management, learning theory and positive reinforcement training techniques, I now hold a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services from the Delta Institute and have been conducting puppy preschool, juvenile/adolescent classes as well as doing one-on-one training sessions.

I love sharing my knowledge about dog behaviour, training and welfare with kids and grown-ups too!
