Puppies don’t have to miss out on socialisation and training just because we’re keeping a distance.

Puppy School is not about letting puppies play with each other. It is so much more, and you can do most of the work even during these challenging times!

We are still running Puppy School, but we’re doing it safely in compliance with current government regulations. Our lessons are one-on-one, meaning you get 100% of the trainer’s attention for an optimal learning environment.

Everyone wants a sociable, confident dog, but it doesn’t come easy. The first (and most important) step is to attend Puppy School. We give you practical tips on how to socialise your pup and teach some useful behaviours even if we can’t meet in person! Don’t wait until your pup is too old – you can start as early as 8 weeks.

qualified trainer

Our trainer has completed Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services with Delta Institute, the industry leading training organisation for dog behavioural trainers. Bea is also Fear Free certified and is full financial member of the Pet Professional Guild Australia and Delta Institute and has current comprehensive insurance. She has years of experience as a dog behavioural trainer working with shelter and rescue dogs.

Puppies have a few weeks in their lives called the “critical socialisation period” until they are about 14-16 weeks of age. This is the time when they can make long-lasting associations about the world. Not socialising your new pup during this important developmental stage can cause future behavioural problems which are difficult to tackle and are not always reversible.

science-based methods

Our Puppy School curriculum has been developed through years of experience and is based on industry best practice guidelines. We only use positive reinforcement training techniques (also known as reward-based methods), which have been proven to work while being fun. There are absolutely no outdated training methods (such as dominance and pack theories), so you have peace of mind that you’re getting the best possible guidance.
